Road Trip

We were spontaneous this past weekend and decided to take a road trip up to Branson, Missouri. Grandpa and Grandma had a long weekend, so we thought we would pick a place in the middle and meet for a visit. (Better than driving 17 hours to come see us or vice versa!) It was about 9 hours for us to drive there, and for Grandma and Grandpa to drive down from Illinois. Perfect middle ground. The girls had a blast...especially Natalie! The trip was short, so hopefully next time we will make it a couple of days longer. And I have a new favorite food...a fried pork tenderloin sandwich...yes, I didn't say it was healthy...but it was oh, so good! The tenderloin was double the size of the bread!

Natalie and her life jacket which she wouldn't take off!!

Grandma gave Abby her first blueberry muffin and she LOVED it!! It was hilarious! I was trying to eat one too, and she screamed at me until I gave her mine! Excuse the red eye..forgot to fix it before I posted it!

Texas Day

Today was "Texas Day" at Nat's Mother's Day Out School. She had a blast, but when it was time for the program and singing...she was done! All that was on her mind was eating barbeque and chips! Here are some pics from the different activities they had...My favorite was the cow patty toss...her expression was priceless!!!

Alaska

Here are pics from Matt's trip to Alaska. He had a great time and took over 250 pictures!!! He was able to visit with both of his sisters, his aunt and uncle, brother-in-laws, cousins and he finally got to meet his new nephew and niece that are twins! I'm so jealous...I wish that I was able to hold them! Some of the pictures are absolutely breathtaking! They look like they came out of a National Geographic Magazine...Alaska is truly God's Country! Enjoy!

Waiting...

Well...our girls only 8 day extravaganza is almost over...yes, my hubby is due home shortly! He has been out of town visiting family up in Alaska. Nat, Abby and I have had a great 8 days, but we are ready for Daddy to get home! I just looked up his flight and it has been delayed almost 3 hours so that puts him home a bit later than we thought, but at least he is on his way home! The girls and I had a fun time together. We visited a drive thru animal safari with my brother and his daughters, had picnics, played at the park, cut Natalie's hair, visited with my aunt and uncle and cousins, played with our neighbors across the street, and ate a lot of fun foods! We missed seeing the family in Alaska and hopefully we can make the next trip! Here are a few pics of Nat's new haircut and the drive thru safari, which by the way, is AMAZING!! Kangaroos, Zebras, Camels, and tons of other animals just walk or hop up to your car and you get to feed them. Natalie loved it and Abby said, "hi" and "bye" and "wowwwwww" to every single animal! Excuse the picture quality...Matt had our good camera, so I was taking pictures with my phone.
