Our Trip to the Beach

I can't believe it has been almost a month and a half since I have updated the blog! Where has the time gone? We have been very busy and actually just got back from our trip to Florida. We went with our neighbors and had a wonderful time. Tropical Storm Fay held off until the very last day of our trip...thank goodness! All it brought was some rain, but nothing serious. Nat and Abby loved the beach. They enjoyed it last summer, but this summer they really got into the whole beach thing! They played in the ocean, loved building sandcastles in the sand, rode boogie boards, and hunted for seashells. I have such fond memories of Florida. My parents started taking me when I was 3 and it became our annual summer trip. Plus, having our wedding there was very special. Since my dad has been gone, Matt and I have continued the tradition of going every summer. I'm so thankful he enjoys it as much as I do, and we love seeing the girls making their own memories. We also have celebrated tons of birthdays the past month and a half...Happy birthday to my Uncle Mark, my niece Jenna, Pappa Edd, our cousin Layla, and a special happy 60th to my Mom! We threw her a surprise birthday party with the whole family and even surprised her with a visit from her sister. She flew in all the way from California for the big day! Thanks you for being a wonderful Mom and you don't look a day over 30! Love you!
